Seven cases, seven challenges, and cutting-edge approaches shaping the future of arrhythmia care
Case Corner 3 at the Mini Stage featured seven challenging cases in contemporary electrophysiology, moderated by Rith Chandara, MD; Hauda El Rasyid, MD; and Rerdin Julario, MD.
The presentations covered a diverse range of innovative approaches, including multi-site catheter ablation for high-burden LV summit PVCs in a young patient, pulsed-field ablation with pulmonary vein and posterior wall isolation for persistent AF, and a comprehensive physiological pacing strategy combining Bachmann bundle pacing, LBBAP, and closed-loop stimulation.
Other cases highlighted zero-fluoroscopy and 3D mapping-guided ablation of atrial tachycardia during pregnancy, successful 2D ablation of atypical fast-slow AVNRT, and zero-fluoroscopy ablation of dual-origin RVOT PVCs in a pregnant patient. The session concluded with a pediatric case involving recurrent pacemaker pocket dehiscence successfully managed using an antibiotic envelope.
Together, the cases demonstrated how advanced mapping, ablation, pacing, and device-management strategies can be adapted to challenging clinical scenarios, emphasizing precision and individualized approaches in contemporary arrhythmia care.
